-- HUMMINGBIRD FOOD: NATURAL & OTHERWISE --

Basically, food can be provided for Ruby-throated Hummingbirds (Archilochus colubris) in either of two ways: natural (plant nectar, pollen, and insects--but never worms or seeds) or artificial (feeders filled with sugar water solution). Many hummingbird gardeners mix or match native wildflowers with exotics, and throw in a few hummingbird feeders for good measure. The sections below will help guide you no matter what your choice.
